MayMay Made It So Right!

Hi! My name is Alishia and I am a KraftaholicMommy!

About a month or so ago, I got the bug to shop for Easter sentiments. I was getting ready to design a card for all of the people at our church for Easter. One of the biggest issues that I was having with this was finding sentiments that included the real reason for Easter. Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I wanted stamps that either came right out and said that, or basically said the same thing. I wanted Christian stamps. However, I was having a really hard time finding Christian Easter sentiments that looked nice.

Then, I remembered someone that I truly love to watch…MayMay from MayMay Made It. She is a marvelous creator and I adore her work. I also love that she is also a Christian and provides a ministry through her website and YouTube Channel. I decided to give her stamps a look. I searched her site for awhile and when I came across these stamps, I fell in love.

The set is called Risen, the link to order your very own set is down below. I absolutely adore the script and I really love all of the sentiments. I ordered and about a week later, I received my set. Oh, and before I forget, while I looking on the site, I came across a marvelous stamp set. It gives the plan of Salvation and it is absolutely free with purchase. I loved that. I added that to the cart as well. While I have not quite figured out, what I want to do with that stamp set, here is what the stamp set looks like. At the end of this post, I will include some images as to what the images look like stamped.

Now, I would share with you all of the cards that I have been working on with the Risen set, but I will be sharing those in their very own tutorials. Those posts are coming starting this week!

What I wanted to do with this quick post is let you know about an amazing stamp set I found and hopefully you will get it and enjoy it as well! I also really would love it if you could check her out on YouTube and her website, all links at the end.

One of the things that are pretty important to me when I buy stamps; it has to stamp a good and clean image. I don’t mind if it takes a couple of passes to do so, but I want that image to be nice on cardstock. I love that with this stamp set, I am able to have that. Look at how amazing this image stamped!

The other thing that I am concerned with, do the stamps clean easy. I don’t really mind staining. Let’s be real here, stamps are going to stain when you use certain kinds of inks and that is not my biggest concern. I want to be able to wipe down my stamp and not have to worry about ink not coming off completely; making it transfer the next time I use it. Or, the biggest thing, if I am repositioning my stamp it doesn’t leave any ink behind. For instance, I clean and dry my stamp after stamping the image once. I place my stamp back down on the paper without inking it and decide that I don’t like position, there should be no ink when I lift that stamp up. I have bought stamps that I clean completely and when I go to use it again, I am left with ink in unwanted places without reinking it. With this stamp set, I do not have to worry about that. I am able to stamp, clean, position and reposition as much as I want with no worry.

I also love that these stamps are durable. I have stamps that I still use, but not often. They are very thin and not very durable. However, they stamp great images and I love how easy they are to clean. I am not a huge fan of the flimsy kind of stamps that they are. With MayMay’s stamps, you don’t have to worry about that.
