Flounder Recipe Deliciousness

Hi! My name is Alishia and I am a KraftaholicMommy!

I am so excited to share with you something delicious. The other day, I went for a quick little errand and came back home with some flounder filets. Now, I have cooked bass, catfish, even grouper, I have never cooked flounder. Now, I don’t know if the flounder that I bought are a normal size, I will be doing some research on that for the next time I get flounder. What I want to share with you today, the recipe I used to cook the flounder.

Flounder Filets/ or any fish would be fine for this.

Lemon Juice- Fresh

Garlic- Minced

Tiny knobs of butter

Tad bit of Olive Oil

I first laid the filets on a baking sheet covered with foil.

I salted and peppered the filets. Then I covered them with foil and placed them in the refrigerator to marinate for a while.

When I was getting ready to start cooking the potatoes(will share that recipe next), I made sure to preheat the oven to 450*F. I do want to make mention that actual temperature that I cooked the fish on was closer to 405*F. I cooked the potatoes until they were just about done, then I turned down the over to 400*F. About five minutes before the oven would go off letting me know it is at temp, I added the filets to the oven…like this.

When I was ready to put the fish in the oven, I took my fresh lemon and squeezed about half a lemon over them, I added the minced garlic, and topped it off with a tiny pad of butter.

I cooked my fish at 400*F for about ten minutes and shut the oven off without opening the door. I left the fish in the oven like that for about another ten minutes to ensure that they were cooked all the way.

I served the flounder with baby potatoes and green beans.

It was a hit in the house. Monkey was a little hesitant at first, but once he tried a piece, he gobbled everything up.

Thank you so much for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed today’s post. If you did, let me know by giving this a like, comment, and share so others can join the fun as well! Until next time,

Thank you!

God Bless!

Happy Krafting!
