Trying Some New Things

Hi! My name is Alishia and I am a KraftaholicMommy!

Today, I thought I would give you a little sneak peek into some pretty cool stuff coming your way. On Instagram a couple of weeks ago, I shared with you a pretty cool picture of a lot of yarn. As you know, I have been working with Bernat Blanket Stripes and I am in love!

The pattern that I have been working on is something I have come up with on my own. I just grabbed the yarn and started crocheting. I went a few rows and thought that a different stitch would look pretty. Once I did this, I had the inspiration to write it all down and share the pattern with you.

I am still working up this blanket and I will be showing it to you all and sharing the exact pattern with you as soon as I finish. I am really loving how easy this pattern is working up and I love that it is not a yarn buster.

I will also make a point to slip in notes that will help you as well with the pattern. This is the first time, I have ever created a pattern. Usually, I use a design and pattern from someone else. I am loving how much inspiration I have had over the past few months that has pushed me in this direction.

Now, if you are wanting to jump on this pattern when I release it, know that I will be sharing this pattern for free on this site. Be ready to share the fire out of it so others can try it as well. Also, if you have any issues with the pattern, feel free to comment on that post and ask all the questions you need. I am really looking forward to sharing this with you. Be prepared with Bernat Blanket Stripes and a 10.0mm hook.

I don’t want to just have a post that is all about one upcoming project. I also wanted to share with you all some of my goals for the next year. As I told you all yesterday, I love dreaming big and turning that big dream into bite size goals.

One of my biggest dreams is one that definitely is not just my own. My husband and I have been talking for quite sometime about buying a home. We would love to move somewhere near and dear to our hearts. So, I have lined up some bite size goals for us to be able to achieve that dream.

The next big dream I have is to also create enough patterns to write a book. I have been working this one and I have several more ideas for patterns that I am going to be working up as well. I do not just want to write down a random pattern without working it up as I write. I want to make sure that whatever pattern I come up with will be able to work up and look beautiful.

I also want to make a few paper crafts to share with you all as well. I have been working on a couple of ideas here recently and I am hoping to have those ready for you within the next week or so.

With all of this stuff and some pretty big dreams that my family and I have, we are revving up for some pretty busy and exciting events. I am so excited to share with you all this journey and I will be sharing it on my socials as well. So, if you are not already following me on those, just look down below and you will have my links.

The final thing I would like to talk to you about is my posting schedule. Monday through Saturday, my posts will be crafting, food, or life related. Sunday’s I will be posting about my Christian faith. I wanted to give everyone a heads up on that in case you are interested. I also want to mention that I don’t want to say what days are crafting related or other, because I am never completely certain. Sometimes, a project goes according to schedule and then there’s the fun times. You know, those times that the project either starts off rough and takes forever to finish, or it starts off fantastic and falls completely apart near the end. In either case, I don’t want to set dates or days to things and have them fall apart. I hope you can understand.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed today’s post. If you did, please let me know by liking, commenting, and sharing so others can join the fun as well. Until next time,

Thank you!

God Bless!

Happy Krafting!
