Sunday Thoughts

Hi! My name is Alishia and I am a KraftaholicMommy!

This morning, I woke up feeling grateful. There has been so much going on in my life that has really tried to bring me down. I have been working hard at reminding myself of all of the things I should be grateful for. In doing this, I have found that all of the crazy that comes against me doesn’t seem as huge.

Tonight, when my family and I go to church, our pastor (my dad) will be opening the floor to testimony. This is a wonderful time in the evening service that we devote time to thanking God for everything that He has done in our lives. We have a prayer book in our church and one night during testimony, one of our youth members mentioned that we are always writing all of the things we want God to do, but why don’t we take the time to write down all of the things we are grateful for. So, this morning, I thought I would share mine with you.

I am always thankful for my Salvation. I am thankful for my husband. He is such a good father to our son. He is always there for him, to guide, teach, and show love. He is an amazing husband. He is always so supportive of the things I aspire to do. He works so incredibly hard to provide for our little family and make sure we all have what we need.

I am thankful for my son. He is so wild and carefree. Monkey is always there to remind me not to take things too seriously. It truly is a blessing to watch him learn and grow. He is always so happy and ready with a joke.

I am incredibly thankful for my parents. They are always there to guide me and remind me of when I am making decisions that aren’t the smartest. I am so thankful that they are an active part, not only in my life, but my son’s as well. They genuinely love my husband. They are an inspiration to how love should be shown and how you should put God first.

This is usually what I say, although, with not so many words. I tend to get pretty short spoken when giving testimony in front of others. I also mention being very grateful for the church that we attend with all of the amazing people in it. How grateful I am that our church is more like a family than just a congregation.

I know not everyone who visits here is a Christian. However, we all can agree that there a lot of things we can all be grateful for. Feel free to comment below, sharing what you are grateful for.
