I know that I typically have a bit of a different intro, but I thought today, I would skip the formality. There will be nothing formal about today’s post.
I wanted to take the time to let you all know that I am very sorry for not posting the past few days. I have been making food for our church members that have been working tirelessly at our church. My dad and a couple of dear family members have been working hard to bring a beautiful facelift to the interior this week and I wanted to show my appreciation.
When I was going to sit down at the tablet and start a new post for you, I received a devastating phone call from my mom informing me that my dear great aunt has gone home to be with the Lord and all of our loved ones who have gone home. I was aware that this day was coming, her health had been rapidly declining over the previous weeks. I know that she is no longer suffering and that all her pain is now gone. It has been hard to sit down and write for the last few days.
My Great Dorothy was a firecracker and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She devoted her life to the Lord and her family. She will be greatly missed.
I will get back to writing soon and I hope that everyone is doing well. Until next time,
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
